Leading by Example: Our Commitment to Sustainability

As a proud MRS Company Partner, we are deeply committed to sustainability and have signed the MRS Climate Pledge to reduce our carbon footprint. Since first measuring our emissions in 2019 at 6.4 tCO2e/FTE, we’ve made significant progress, reducing our footprint to 3.1 tCO2e/FTE in 2022 and 2.7 tCO2e/FTE in 2023. While our 2024 footprint stands at 4.4 tCO2e/FTE, this increase is largely due to improvements in our reporting process, enabling us to capture data on areas of our business that were previously unaccounted for.

We believe that taking meaningful action starts from within. Our dedicated Sustainability team, made up of Tom Chedzoy-Gould, Francesca Walker and Emma Gray, continuously measures our carbon footprint, implements reduction initiatives, and engages our colleagues, clients and suppliers in our sustainability journey. Practical steps we have taken include adopting a sustainable travel policy, offering Cycle to Work and EV Salary Sacrifice schemes, prioritising repair and reuse over purchasing new, minimising unnecessary printing, supplying sustainably sourced food and drink and maximising our recycling efforts.

Beyond operational changes, we actively foster a sustainability-conscious culture within our business. Through regular slots in our monthly Knowledge Sharing sessions, we ensure our team stays informed, engaged and empowered to contribute to our sustainability goals.

As experts in sustainability research, we help clients develop more sustainable propositions for consumers. But we also recognise the importance of practicing what we preach. Our commitment to sustainability is not just about research; it’s about taking real action. We are incredibly proud of our progress so far and remain dedicated to reducing our impact on the planet, now and in the future.
