HR Software Value Proposition

Business challenge

A software company was looking to deepen their understanding of the HR software market in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. They sought to launch a new product proposition in conjunction with a price increase. As a result, they wanted insight into the pricing expectations regarding HR software.

Our approach

We conducted an online survey among 304 respondents:

  • We spoke to people who had senior job titles in companies of 251 – 7,500 employees.
  • We explored the current market
  • We assessed what HR modules were important, essential, nice to have, and not required
  • We included a pricing exercise to see what was good value, too expensive and too cheap
  • We also assessed the current use of AI within HR software, its perceived usefulness and the barriers to further adoption.

Outcome

We were able to ascertain and inform our client regarding an optimal price range for the different modules they tested. We were also able to provide information on which HR software solutions were favoured among which types of businesses.
