In April 2020 we ran the second wave of our Great Green Sustainability Study to measure consumers’ environmental attitudes, behaviours and knowledge.
When it comes to being sustainable, recycling is the first thing that jumps to consumers’ minds. It’s one of the more accessible environmentally-friendly actions, with the majority of consumers claiming to do it.
But do people feel they know what can and cannot be put in the recycling bin, especially as local councils are becoming increasingly strict about this? And, on the flip side, are they using the supermarket recycling points which offer opportunities to recycle more ‘difficult to recycle’ items? Here’s what we found:
